Artist's Comments
This is a little something I did for
 's contest, the details of which are in her journal.I had to pick a deviation title from one of the many pictures in her gallery, and after a long process of narrowing down, I settled on 'Embrace the Darkness Within' and just started doodling. After about half a dozen pages in my sketchbook, this is the concept that I decided on. The pencil drawing took me hours and hours,  and the coloring (done in Photoshop) took me a very long time, hence this being uploaded in digital. I will be uploading my finished pencil sketch as well in case anyone is interested in seeing it.As always, any and all comments are welcome.  |

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. After reading your comment, I looked at this pic again both here and in my sketchbook, and I can kind of see how it would bring Van Hellsing to mind.
And I'm glad I'm not the only one who things he looks like he really needs a hug.
